What exactly is the 30 meg ALMS carset? Is it just a huge collection of
user created cars or is there more to it than that? Also, was there ever
anything created that allowed you to field more than 16 cars in a race?

  There is a 24 car patch, but since it requires several utilities to
edit files, I have never dug into it.  
  The ALMS like almost all the patches and additions for SCGT are
privately made.  It is a collection of cars entered in last year's ALMS
series that have had the .veh files edited to try and closely match the
speeds and racing produced last year.  You will need to dload the newest
Panoz roadster updates and the LMP BMW's and Audi's.
