I was looking at the sierra.inf file in my gpl directory and noticed
that in the [system test] section it had MemKB=13312. Is this normal
for a 64Meg system? If so then why is it so low? I presume its decided
that's the amount of RAM available to GPL. If that's true then what's
happened to the other 50Megs? :-(

I tried a full install of gpl on another partition but got the same
result.

My system is:-

WIn95b
64Mb Ram

Only programs running during install were:-

Explorer
Iowatch
Systray
Imgicon

Same here, 13312, but I have 128Meg ram. Sreen size it says is 640*480 while
I run 800*600.
GPL runs fine. I wouldn't pay attention to it.

I just checked mine. It also says 13312.

I guess this must be a default value, as I have 128MB RAM.

Anyone know whether changing this value will improve performance?

I have no idea what that value is, but I can assure you that GPL does
not use it.

The Win9x kernel will easily grow to 30+MB with network options and such
installed.

Are you having problems running GPL? If not, don't worry about it.

Nope, its runs fine. What put me on to it was other posts mentioning
changing replay length in the core.ini. As I didn't have this file I
started looking for memory size in the other .ini files that's all and
just wondered if this had any bearing on anything.

Now that you've all put my mind at rest I can get on with the racing
again. Cheers guys :-)
