GPL sound problem...

Is is possible for video drivers to***up the sound?  Went to drive gpl
today and the engine sound is all screwed up.  It sounds almost musical going
up the rpm range.  Step by step.  The only thing i have changed on this
computer lately is updated nvidia drivers.  Any ideas would help.

Yes

I had a problem with my old GF3 and Turtle Beach soundcard in NR2002.  It
took me forever to stumble across the fact it was tied to the video drivers.
