Getting analog pedals to work with USB wheel?

by Ivar Sandsta » Fri, 16 Nov 2001 21:45:34

I have just received a Redline Pedal set. Looks and feels very good.

I connect them using the gameport on my SoundBlaster Live, but
they are not recognized. In GPL when I select generic, they work,
but then I cannot find my LWFF wheel (USB).
IO address for gameport driver is 200-207 so everything looks OK.

Anyone had the same problem. Any pointers to test tools or hints
to how to solve this problem?

Anxious to test my new pedal set, but unable until I fix this problem.

Computer:
Windows 98 SE
P II 350, AOpen BX6 or something mbo.
Creative GF 2
SoundBlaster Live
PC-DVD Encore 5x
3Com ISA network card

Regards

Ivar

Hint: You may have to create a custom entry in *** Options for 2 (or
3?) axis and 0 buttons.

I have tried different setups. 2/3 axis device number 1,2,3.
All of them report not connected in *** Options.
But they work in GPL, so they are connected.

The redline pedals MOST be controller #01 in games controllers for them
to be recognized.

After you get them setup, could you post a review of the pedals? Are
these the aluminum "Top Hinged" pedals, I saw on Redline Racing website?
Thanks, Mick

Thanks

Removing all other game controllers in game options, made the trick.

Moving my LWFF wheel back to controller 01 again made it possible for
games that are unable to run on other than first controller usable again.
