Headlights in SCGT?

Is anybody working on a patch to implement working headlights for the in-car
view in SCGT?

It would be really useful.

I certainly hope so.

When on Earth did EA leave this out? Sloppy programming doesn't go
down well. Night races are a pain when you can't clearly see where
you're going without headlights.

Turn the brightness way up on your monitor.  Sounds dumb, but it's better
than the headache you get straining to see into the blackness.

Tried that, but it barely makes any difference, at least not compared
to how it would be if the headlights worked on the inside of the cars.

That is more than a little inconvinience, I have my monitor
brightness just how I like it and don't wish to mess around with
it.

Maybe they thought that no one would actually want to use the in-
car view when they made SCGT, hence the lack of a dah in the
original version.  Sounds unbelievable, I know!

You're close, I think.  I heard that SCGT originally had no in-car view, and
it was only added after the beta testers and others begged for it (hence the
fairly generic***pits).  While the view was added, they didn't bother to
add the headlights in that view. DOH!

Then again, maybe that was just a rumor.  If so I'm sure that there'll be 20
or more responses correcting my aggregious error.  :-)

  Right you are Gman.
No incar views at all.  Most of SCGT's faults can be traced back
to that single GREVIOUS design choice error.  However, to ISI's credit,
they listened to the beta testers and threw in dash.  Since then, the
users have created simply marvelous dashes and bonnets.  Even open top
***pits, which is something SCGT does not model at all have been faked.
Another 'fix' is to go to the video options inside scgt and turn the
gamma setting alllll theeee waaaay uppppp.
at least you can see the track then..
good luck

The Gamma in SCGT is already wayyyy too dark, even at it's hightest
setting.  Non-working headlights don't help :)
