At Waterloo station in London last night a stand was set up with a 'win a
classic car'
competition in conjunction with spirit of speed...but also on this stand was
the
***pit of a formula 1 car complete with wheel and a 19" monitor on top
running
yup you guessed it GP3!!, it was a 2 lap race round the streets of Monaco
but
big dissapointment all the help options were turned on......but wow it
looked
good.

Talking to they guy running the stand, he runs these F1 simulators round the
country and was off today to take 2 of them running GP3 to the Arrows team
for them, I guess, to playtest!!

I asked him what the physics were like, and he claimed it was ***y
difficult
with all the helps turned off. He said that no demo would be released before
the actual release of the game sometime in early June, and he wasnt
with parting a copy of the game he had running on the simulator :(

I seem to remember someone asking about mirrors etc....well the***pit
looked nice...just a nice f1 wheel in front of you...no arms/hands.....very
nice
mirrors...the game had to be running in some kind of 3d hardware mode
because it was flying...really fast...the graphics looked really nice.....

I was looking forward to this game anyway, but now ive seen it all
I can say is roll on June. :)

The Company running the simulator were probably Interactive Racing (Now
called BallRacing Developments I think?) They run a lot of these
simulators at various car shows, exhibitions, and promotions, etc.

They have a Simulator loosely based on a Lotus 49 I believe? they also
have F1 type***pits, and speedboats as well!

You can hire (and even buy) these simulators from them too.....

Good to hear, you should have aksed him what system he was running the
game on.  Hopefully not a PIII 700 or Athlon 700 with a GeForce DDR
32MB system.  Then it probably would fly.  I'd hope he was running a
Celeron 533 or a PIII 600 and a TNT2 or something similar.

There's a GP Legends simulator set up at the Donnington Grand Prix museum in
England, with a Lotus 49***pit and huge screen. They also have a couple of
nice '67 cars on display, Brabham and BRM.
