GP3 will run ok on a P2-350, but FF poor.

GP3 will run ok on a P2-350, but FF poor.

Just thought I'd let you know - not everyone can
afford to replace there PC every five minutes.

Quite impressed  actually - I was expecting to
get 1-2 fps on my p2-350 but it gets about 18 fps
at 800x600. The processor occupancy does
regularly go over 100%, but not as often
as I'd expected. (ie. I'd say the average
was close to or below 100%)

Only one major gripe - whilst I can feel some
feedback through my LWFF - its very feint.

As for the game itself, I can understand the
dissapointment - the game does feel a bit
aged in terms of "look and feel" to the extent
that I wonder if its actually using the Voodoo 3
at all.

Having said that - I think that the beauty of
the game will turn out to be its depth and accuracy
rather than its eye candy.

I think GPL is much nicer to drive.

-Hey guy, I had a P2/350 too......If you have some $$, you might be able to do
this:
-Check your motherboard....I upgraded to a P3/550mhz CPU for just $145 US
currency!

-NK....

Hmm?
18 fps ain't good enough, anyway could you include your system specs for
easier understanding!

The intent was simply to let people know it will run on
a machine which is below the "recommended" spec.
Which is rare in my experience.

18fps may not be enough - not when you compare it
to 36 in GPL - but you can drive it like that
without noticeable "steps" in the action.

P2-350
64M RAM
Voodoo 3 2000 AGP
SoundBlaster 16
Logitech Formula Force.

What else do you need?

Cheers,
Steve

Not sure how you did that - that chip would cost over 500 ($700?)
over here in the UK.

(Happy to be corrected though if anyone knows where
P3 s are sold inthe UK for sensible prices)

Here's a website that sells them pretty cheap and is good quality service...(a
bit more than I paid for but still nice). Try this URL....
