GPL and Game Commander 2

I'm trying to get Game Commander 2 to work with GPL and WinVROC.  I want
to be able to use voice-commands for Reset and online chat (such as "Pit
In; Pit Out",etc)

I just got a new microphone/headset because the sound on the one I had
before was so poor.  Unfortunately, for some reason, this new
mike/headset seems to activate the Pause command in GPL after a few
seconds.  The only way that I've discivered to prevent this from
happening was to activate the "Press-to-Talk" feature in Game Commander
2.  (I assigned it to the spacebar, and it does work when I press and
hold the spacebar.)

Now, I want to map the spacebar to Button #5 on my LWFF, using the
Wingman software, so that I can "Press to Talk" right from a button on
the wheel.  Although I'm able to assign the spacebar to the button, it
doesn't seem to work while in GPL.  I think that's because it's mapped
as a quick "up and down" keypress, while what's required is a
"press-and-hold".  Looking through the Help file, I can't find how to
map it as  "Press and Hold".

I'd appreciate any help in getting this to work.

If there's an easier way, I'd sure like to hear that, as well.

Thanks, Guys!
Bert

I believe you can open up the profile in notepad. Maybe you can edit it
manually?

I don't have the specific answer for you, but using my Momo wheel with the
profiler, I am able to map a wheel button as the KeyPad 0 key, which I have
set for the activation key in Roger Wilco.  It does work if you press and
hold the key, even if the profiler shows press and release.

I'm not sure if GPL has a problem with this that other sims wouldn't or not.
I use mine for NR2002 mostly, but do have GPL installed.  I could do some
testing for you possibly if you don't find the answer soon.

There is new logitech software available (4.20) that MAY help you here.  Not
sure though.

Try RB_joy instead of the Wingman software.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.  Fortunately, it appears that the
solution was simple (Knock wood....).  It seems that I had the microphone
record settings too high.  After lowering the setting to the point that just
started to detect my voice, GPL no longer activated the Pause command
randomly.  That means that I no longer have to use the "Press-to-talk"
feature in Game Commander.  Consequently, I don't need to run the Wingman
mapping software, making the entire question moot.

Just thought that posting this solution might help others with a similar
problem.
