Game Commander with Auto sims?

The flightsim NG has been buzzing about Game Commander.
This is a software package which allows voice recognition
while playing computer games. Many people in the flightsim
NG are using it with many current flightsims.

It seems to me that this would be most useful in our racing sim
games. Especially when setting up for pit stops since you
should be able to talk your pit setups and everything. No
more groping for keys to get the race results while you
race....

So has anyone tried it?

Game Commander with Auto sims?

I went out and bought game commander after trying the demo. I love it
and it works great for all games or applications. But there are some
problems. I like to play my sims with the volume turn up to a decent
level. Well sometimes game commander hears something from the game and
begins a command. This really gets bad in a game like X-wing alliance
or other games that have alot of spoken speach going on. You can adjust
the mike input but then you have to hell the commands. Even if you
cough it can do something. It also will pick up your wifes voice when
she is talking and if a word she says is in game commanders list it
will start working. But once you get the mic level right and adjust
your self to not saying much while playing it is great.

I haven't found a good race sim that has a pit menu that game
commander would work with as most of the pit stuff is done by moving
the arrow keys around. If you tried to use game commander you would
have to say something like "left, up, down etc" so it would be faster
to do it with the arrow keys as there is a little deley before the
action takes place. I tried some testing with gpl. I would say shift-r
and it would do it that worked great. but then I tried shifting just to
see what it was like and the small deley was just to much and took away
from the game. But the nice thing about it is that any command you can
give on the keyboard you can have game commander do it by just saying a
few words. There is no training of the software it picks up about 95%
of the words you say.

Let me know if you find a good use of it in a racing sim and I will
give it a shot but as of now I don't use it while I race GPL.

Greg I recently downloaded the demo and haven't tried it yet,
but I'm DYING to find if "What was my last lap time?" will convert
into F1 in NR99.  Same with "What's my position?"  How bout "Change
Left Side Tires" and "Raise Spoiler."  MAN.... now I'm all e***d
again!  Isn't there a look left and right, too?
