GPL Problem

I have a friend who is trying to get GPL to run. His system is a P4 1.7,
512mb memory, SB Live, Geforce2 MX 400. Latest released drivers for all.
Running WinXP Pro SP1. He installed it and when trying to run it he sees the
Sierra logo for a split second then back to desktop. He's tried some of the
patches, all of the patches, editing the INI to change the video used for
the game, and removing the GPL.AVI file. Absolutely nothing is working for
him. Does anyone have any ideas at all. We are at the end of our rope trying
to figure this one out.

Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing your friend is using NTFS?

You need to go to the properties for the gpl folder, click advanced, and
tick the 'allow indexing' box.

You don't actually need to have indexing running, just allow it. Don't know
why ;-)
