Problem with GPL and ISDN

Problem with GPL and ISDN

Has anybody had trouble with ISDN and GPL? I have a Hagenuk Speed
Dragon, which if I speak to directly with dialup networking works
fine,  BUT is limited to 64K single channel. To use 2 channels I have
to use CAPI modems (?) & I've tried both RVS and AVM software.

They both allow access to the internet but GPL keeps throwing me out
of other games, or punting all connections if I host. This is if one
or two channels are up.

Obviously I would like 115K to the internet (serial port limitation)
as I could host more than 5 or 6 other players.

Anybody got any ideas how I can improve, make the situation better?
You can even suggest USB ISDN adapters if guaranteed to work!

I'm in the UK if it makes a difference

TIA
Pete

Hi Peter,

>Has anybody had trouble with ISDN and GPL?

The only problem I have is when I try to connect to a GPL host. The
connection is made, get the green button to enter the track and the
chat messages of other players. I don't get the red flashing chat
button, which indicate who are connected to the host. If I am
connected, I have no more problems then any other.

This will not help you, but maybe Randy or Eric can explain how to
solve this?

I use the RVS software.

With 128k I can host 8 to 10.

I have an USB ISDN modem, and I love it. It is badge enginered, so I
don't know the manufacturer.  You have to run Windows 98 to be able to
use an USB modem, though.

Holland here.

If you could find out who makes the USB modem I would consider buying
one. I am using Win98 so USB devices are not a problem.

Pete
