GPL ISDN at 128kbs

GPL ISDN at 128kbs

I'm getting a 128kbs USB ISDN link put in and want to host GPL races. It
seems to me that most people seem to host only 6 racers with ISDN. Why
is this? At 128kbs it should be 9 racers if 56kbs is 4. Does GPL support
dual lines?
Cheers,
Paul

With dual ISDN like (one is 64k, if combined you get 128k) you can host
up to 12 players if your computer can handle that much cars on the track.
Many drivers only use one line (if you use 2 lines to get 128k, you pay
double)
that is 64k and they only host 6 players.
GPL doesn't care about your type of connection.
If you get 128k running, feel free to host up to 10 or 12 players... :o)

Hi Paul,

>I'm getting a 128kbs USB ISDN link put in and want to host GPL races.

Me too!

These people have an 64K connection.

56kbs is only downstream. Upstream 56 kbs is limited to 33kbs.
128 kbs should be a big enough bandwidth for 12-14 clients.

I believe this is a dialup network thingy, and has nothing to do with
GPL. But I'm not really sure, yet. Could differ per provider.
