RBR and Logi Momo brakes?

by Arto Wik » Sat, 02 Oct 2004 03:48:20

Sim racers,

what could be reason for the following?
I have Logitech Momo (black) FF wheel,
I use separate axis for throttle and brake.
In RBR the brakes are a bit on all the time!
I found it in an excercise in the Rally School,
where you were not allowed to brake at all.
And when I went to look the settings, I can
see that the brakes really are on all the time!
Perhaps 1/4 on. But when I look the settings
in the control control panel, the brakes are
just ok, not at all on, when I do use the brakes.
In RBR I could not find any in the game calibrating
option.

So, what could be the reason? And what could be the
remedy?

Thanks in advance!

Using the Logitech Profiler I gave myself some deadzone to counteract the
fact that I tend to rest my foot on the brake.

Mine went up a little(but not 1/4) when I had another controller plugged in.
But it went away...

Strange! The reason was my Sidewinder FF joystick! When I put
the stick to zero position, the brake was off! And my Logi Momo
is on different USB port! Strange!

Windows' strangenesses again?

And thanks for the idea, fredrickson! Now I could go on in the
rally school, too!  :-)
