NFS PU under XP Pro?

I just to install Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed and it is*** when I
try to start the program.  I renamed gimme.dll checked that porsche.exe is
set at win98 compatability.

I keep getting the message that porsche.icd is causing the problem.

Any solutions?

Interesting.  It just so happens that I re-installed NFS PU last night on my
computer and I also have WinXP PRO SP1 and DX9.0a.  I simply installed the
game and it worked without changing compatability modes or renaming any
files.  Have you tried running it without setting it at win98 compatability
or renaming that .dll file?

I got it to work by turning off the 98 compatability, that setting was
turned on automatically during the installation.
