OT: USB Utility Needed

I'm looking for a Windows XP compatible Utility that will list all the USB
devices attached to a system, show their power requirements, and indicate
what USB speed they are running at, and what standard they are attached at
(i.e. USB 1.1, 2.0 Full Speed, 2.0 High Speed), etc...

First time Google has ever let me down.

The Windows Device Manager is WORTHLESS for auditing USB devices.  I've been
working on computers for 23 years and I'll be damned if I can make heads or
tails out of the USB section in the Windows Device Manager.  It's a jumbled
mess.

Thanks!

Larry

there is a program called USBVIEW. it does not do all you want but does some
of it.

I do not run WinXP, but Microsoft used to have this on Win98 CD in
Tools\Reskit\Diagnose

I assume they would keep these type of utilities, or probably improved
versions, on the newer operating systems CD too.

Yes, I remember that one but I didn't think it ran under XP/2K.

What the heck.  I'll dig out the old Win98 CD and see what happens :)

Please keep us posted!  I'm having terrible conflicts between a Xerox USB
laser printer and a Canon USB 2.0 scanner.  They simply don't work when
connected to my PC at the same time - even when connected to separate
(powered!) USB hubs... grrrr...
