Thank you!<g>  Yellows will be back on for Michigan.  Maybe then I could stay
on the lead lap...

That's the problem with not being able to map a chat command to a button on the
wheel.  I couldn't reach the keyboard to send "pass high". :-(

I found that I was *constantly* in danger of spinning coming off the turns.  It
was a balancing act NOT to..

Yeah, I was defending my line a bit more near the end of the race.  If you
noticed, every other time you caught me, I let you by.

I'm not even looking at the speedo.  I got so dependent on that in the earlier
NASCAR and ICR games that it hurt me in GPL.  So when I went back to N4 and
N2002, I turned it off.

I seem to do that in all racing games.  Scared of the wall(and track-out) I
guess, so I leave a greater margin of error.  I wonder how much of that is due
to faulty perception?  Meaning, I can't tell how much room I really have on
turn exit.

I had a similar problem with turn 3.

I have an uncanny ability to just (barely) catch the very, VERY tip of the
inside curb coming out of turn 3.  I practiced an hour a night for 3 days
trying to break that habit but dammit it was like there was a magnet there.

It didn't really cause me _that_ much trouble, but it can upset the car just
enough that you have to back-peddal for a split second to stay out of the
wall.

I have the same problem.  I use a MSFF wheel and I only have 6 buttons
to program.  I can't afford to waste chat messages on them.  I find
that if I take my eyes of the screen to search for one of the chat
keys I usually end up causing a bigger mess than if I just drive.
Guess I need to look into game commander or what ever it's called...

Actually, I feel that I have take the turn pretty good when I just
touch the inside curb coming out of T3.  Of course I "touched" it a
little too hard in Sat. race which is why I spun.

I have 6 where one is assigned as shiftbutton => 10 possible buttons.
All are assined to chat-commands ;-)
The paddles in shifted mode is actually also used, so it makes 12
chatcommands in use.

In Nascar, there is a lot of use for the chat-commands, especially if you
are on an open server and want to stay out of trouble.
The few times I want to change anything, I use the keyboard.
(I am considering changing 2 or 4 buttons to f1,f2,f3,f6, but then I've not
been in a restrictor SS race for a while)
