You stopped using a TSW in favor of a USB wheel?  Are you insane?

"switched to a USB controller FOR my TSW2"
I think he just added the USB adapter that TSW has now.

Maybe your just shit David?....Should have put more time in on GPL...:)

Oh arent Greger Huttu and Andi Wilke, the two GPL masters the kings of
Nascar now anyway :P...certainly at watkins and sears anyway..!

Good to see Achim is still alive, I still remember beating you at spa back
in 1999 i think, to beat a beta tester then was a real joy :)

Should be Michigan ?

Practice Early.  The fast setup is _very_ pushy.

Nonsense Eldred... the whole idea behind this whole mess was to let all
skill levels race without having to worry about their intentions being
mistaken. You have a right to be there _and_ defend your position. In a no
yellows race and within the respective fuel windows, me (being faster in
reference to you than usual) ending up behind you means I messed up big
time, end of story. There is no reason for you to compromise your race to
aide in my recovery. Thanks all the same though.

All the same... you finished ahead of some by keeping it together better for
longer than them. Over here we say: "flowers are handed out at the finish
line". I.e. No matter how much more skilled one may supposedly be, if one
doesn't produce the goods come crunch time, someone else will steal one's
thunder. Some people may have been quicker, but you lasted longer and, IMO,
there's more credit in that.

That's par for the course Eldred... stick close to the car ahead and you
will experience the effects of its dirty air, the so called "aero push". The
trick is to use this to one's advantage... e.g. you might go in a little
low/hot and not have the back end come around as the front loses more
traction than usual in running up on the car in front.

While it's true Rich had some bad karma, you shouldn't discount yourself.
Racing is a profoundly personal experience, what matter is how well you make
the best of your situation, regardless of being off the general pace or not.
If you don't approach your racing from this or a similar angle, you are
going to frustrate yourself out of the game eventually.

>also we could run Coca Cola.

Well, we haven't run Michigan yet, so that will still be on the 15th.  I can
mix in the ones you mentioned.  Coca Cola should be...um, interesting...<g>

It tells me that I got lucky...<g>  I couldn't even keep UP with you until you
spun and crashed.  I'm guessing that you took some damage in that incident.

---------------------------

Ummmmmm, no. I meant that I use my TSW2 with a USB connection, instead of
the Game port. Which seems to not work to well with XP Pro.

Apologies if you've mentioned this already, but what pots are you using ?
The USB adapter for a TSW only works with one particular set of pots, check
their site for details.

Not true, Eldred.  For the last 8 or so laps, I could catch up to you, but
couldn't find a way to pass, 'cause you stayed on the line & didn't mess up.
Trust me, I was on your bumper a few times trying to force you into a mistake, &
you didn't cooperate.  ;-/

FWIW, from a middle o' the packer, I use 2 different ways to handle the tunnel
turn.  Either back off between the last caution light & the 1st marker (4), &
coast to the turn, or brake at the next to last marker (2), & get back on it
when speed falls to ~145 or so.

The only other thing I noticed when following you is that you seem to pinch the
car down when exiting turn 3, rather than letting it drift to the wall entering
the front straight, & you are losing lots of time there. (Tho not enough for me
to get by <sniff>)

I agree.  Pocono definetly was the right track to try the no yellows
experiment on.

That was me.  I realized too late that you wanted me to pass you high.
I got a run off of 3 underneath you and by the time you started to
move over, I was all ready committed to the inside.  I have not looked
at the replay yet, but I assume that the rest of the cars were passing
to the outside which probably put you in the middle and I probably
didn't give you enough room on the outside.  Anyway, just a racing
deal.

I would like to apoligize to the cars that I took out late in the race
when I self spun off of T3 (how I managed to spin out with that setup
I will never know).  I took out the car right behind me and then when
trying to get off the track drove into the path of another car.  A
real bone-headed move on my part... sorry.
