GPL: Anyone running F3 Series races anymore?

I'm just getting back into this game. Its running flawlessly (other
than a blinking mouse) in XP Pro with my GF4 4200 128 meg at 1600 x
1200 using OGL.  I remember back when Mark Seery had a series going a
couple years ago, was a great time..

DAve, there is just a straight F2 and F3 class as well you know  ;), all the others are some kind of
engine swapping, where as F2 is just advanced trainers, and F3 is basic trainers.  GPLemans runs all
3 classes in a single race if you're interested in next season(TBA)  Check here:

Not quite sure why you would want to run F3 cars on the same track as
F1s.. thanks for the inf tho.

That league is still around but it's now FV's (F2 cars with F3 engines)
http://users.pandora.be/jan..verschueren./GPVL/FV/index.htm. There's also
the GMSS (http://www.gmss.org) that races FGs (F1 cars with F3 engines).

There's also the GPLF3R league (i race in that and GPVL :-)
http://users.hfx.eastlink.ca/~mackaypenny/gplf3r.html
Both GPVL and GPLF3R run fv cars which aren't as slippery as f3 so allow for
some close racing.  GPLF3R was formed for drivers to get experience in
online racing and they welcome beginner drivers (as does GPVL for that
matter but it is a bit more serious).  They also are working on a system of
team racing, pairing up the more experienced drivers with those with less
experience so it should be interesting.  Anyway, check out both sites and
see what you like.

I'm guessing they have overall standings and class standings, a'la
sportscar racing when GT's, GT2's, etc are all racing together.

There are some tracks perfectly well suited to F3, like:

Crystal Palace
Pau
Croft
Monaco
Mas du Clos
Falkenberg
Norisring
Heartland
Homestead
Phoenix
Louden
Cleveland

You forgot Castle Combe, the king of all F3 tracks.  Or at least for me- my
best results ever in GPLeMans F3 have been at Combe :-D

Grenzlandring can be immense fun in F3, or dull as watching paint dry,
depending on whether you find a friend to draft with.

cheers

The GPVL is still going Gary, although we've just finished a long season.

We run what we call FV cars these days which are F2 chassis with F3 engines.
Jan Verschueren is the boss these days as I am currently about to launch our
F1 division.
Web site is here...

Mark!!

Hey, I just loaded Jake's F3 Ferarri setup from the old days and it
still works great for me. I'm lost with all the new stuff, where can I
get direction on setting up the F2 w/F3 engine? I still suck (some
things never change) but one thing is I still run clean and want to
have fun...

Thanks!

I'm trying to find the GPL Engine Manager that allows me to change the
F2 cars but keep getting sent to dead ends. Do you know where it can
be downloaded from?

Thanks
