T2: Precision with the Pedals

I would appreciate any suggestions one would have regarding the above
topic.  To drive well you need to be accurate and smooth with the
pedals, particularly the brake.  If you use too much brake you bleed
off too much speed (DUH!), and it's off to Hades with your lap.

This is the situation I am grappling with. I've calibrated the pedals
so I do not have to put them to the floor to get maximum effect.
However, some of the NASCAR 2 tracks require very precise movements
with the brake and accelerator (as opposed to a track like Talladega
where you floor it all day).  The T2's pedals seem a little stiff, so
I sometimes have a rough time applying just the right amount of brake
or gas.  I have to press somewhat *** either pedal, and before I
know it, I've pushed the pedal a little too far.

I've ditched my T2 pedals and use CH's. Unfortunately, I have to use
left-foot braking with this setup, but I think they are WAY better than
the T2 pedals as far as accuracy. I owned them before I bought the T2
setup.

T2: Precision with the Pedals

When I tried the T2 pedals at our local dealer I didn't
like the feel of the pedals at all and decided that a more
realistic pedal "feel" needed to used. I didn't like the price
of the T2 either, so I went home to PC and fired up the CAD
program to design my own.

My home-built pedals incorporate a double brake action setup.
The brake pedal only travel 25mm in total. The first 12mm
applies the brakes from 0% to 20%, allowing the ability to
feather the brakes. At this point the brake pedal becomes a
lot harder to press and the last 13mm travel applies the
brakes from 20% through to 100% (lockup).

These pedals are built from 3mm and 4mm plate aluminium with
bronze bushing for pedal pivots. I fitted the clutch as well
which I use for Nascar.... (if I don't the gear shift won't
work). The clutch can be switched to three different modes
analog,on/off or disabled all together. The pedals are top
hinged as per real.

I have been asked to produce these controls for order and so I
may start making them available in the near future.

I hope to post some pictures in the near future at Wallys
World of Driving Simulators should he be happy to have them.

I am wondering if anyone is willing to help me with editing pcx file for
the***pit in NAS2. I added "redzones" for the RPM and other gauges,
when I start NAS2, it "hang" - funny pictures came out. Whats the
problem? Anyone can help? THANZ

Excellent initiative on your part.  Sounds like something I might
consider buying if you decide to produce them on a regular basis.
