Precision Racing : cant get pedals to work (thrustmaster formula 1)

by Roy Berub » Tue, 19 May 1998 04:00:00

I'm using a thrustmaster formula 1 wheel/pedal combo. Joystick port is a
diamond monster sound. The problem is that i cannot seem to get the game
to recognize my pedals. I've calibrated just as they describe in the
faq, however that method does not work. To calibrate my pedals i must
choose the 'use rudder/pedals' option in the joystick setup in win95. It
seems my pedals are on a third axis. The first is the wheel (x1), second
(y1) is nothing, and third (y2?) is the pedals.

If only the game would actually let me choose which joystick axis does
what. But that would make too much sense.

Any ideas? I've tried the thustmaster propanel to no avail. I've tried
all the wheel combinations listed. I've tried with and without
rudder/pedals selected. I give up.

Install your Thrustmaster as "Four Button Joy Stick"  Do not choose the
rudder/pedals option and calibrate normally.  That was the advice I got from
the Thrustmaster tect line...and it worked!  Now if I could get my TOCA to
recognize my Thrustmaster T2 at all.....
