This game just won't run. After the splash screen I get a black screen with
the hourglass. Have to reboot. I'm running: Athlon 2200, 512 Ram, NVidia
GeForce 4 MX 420, Soundblaster Live, Direct X 9. I stopped all programs,
including Zone Alarm & Norton AV, but nothing!

Oh, and I've also tried rolling back my NVidia driver to 41.09, using
Enditall 2 and killing everything that was running, and also turning off
anti aliasing in the video card options. Still nothing! Any help would be
great. Thanks.

Bugs like that can often be down to filesystem corruption. Perform a
thorough scandisk on your system and game disks (if different) and
then reinstall the game. Also make sure there is no dust or scratches
on the game CD.

I don't think you want to regress your NVidia drivers. I was using a
GF4 4400 on the latest drivers until a couple of weeks ago when I
defected to the ATI fan club.
