I just got the demo and all I can say is wow and GP2 SUCKS : )

Well, I really don't know how you got the demo. It hasn't been released
yet. Problem right now is that it is over 18MB. So, we have to figure
out how we can get that up on the net. Anyway, please, please refrain
from saying it's way better than GP2. We all get quite enough of that.
Let's wait until the game comes out and then judge it on its own merits.

Adam,

Why not just post it to Sierra's ftp site as is for people with fast
connections, and then split it up onto say 4 5meg parts for those with
slower connections. Even over a 14.4 connection you should be able to get
at least 5 megs in an hour (I get 11 or so at 28.8). Large demos like this
(10 megs+) are becoming the norm now. I don't have a problem spending
close to 2 hours downloading it.

18 meg!? That's bad for me because I'm on a local service provider
which has limited modems so they kick me off after 2 hours ( Unlimited
access though )! With a 14.4 that allows 7.5 megs to be downloaded.
Please release a version in split files ( like 6 split files of 3 megs
each ).
If I can't download it I don't know what I'll do.

I don't understand. How long does it take them to figure out how to get it
on the net. We have all seen similar sized files posted. Come on guys you
have had all day to put it on the net. Get on with it. Or stop teasing us
with info. Don't you guys remember what happened when you told us you
would have a patch for ICR2?

With my 14.4 modem I can download close to 3 megs per hour. That's 6
hours of downloading. And remember it's taking up the FTP server for
6 hours, not just my computer. I think it's good they're looking at
ways to make the archive smaller.

Is there any chance that the demo might be put on a CD-ROM that the
public can get with PC Gamer or some other *** magazine. I know there
is no way my computer can download one file that is 18MB. Maybe if the
game was put in separate files?

Speaking for myself only, I would gladly spend a couple of hours
downloading the demo. Please post it. Were all very anxious to give it
a whirl.
