yeah, I've had this for about 2 weeks and the graphics are amazing...60fps on
a P166 with a Matrox Mistique video card. Funny though, the graphics look much
better in the "software" mode than though 3dfx. In software mode they look
rich, have "bump map" and depth. 3dfx look great too but check out the
software mode an see for yourself.
Now for the game, the handling in this game is totally non existent, it
behaves just like Mario Cart (I call it the "asteroids" driving model :-)
The physics work very well and cannot be really flawed with the way the car
drops, drives over bumps and crashes.... just it always "magically" ends up on
all 4 wheels :-)
The AI is non existent also, all the cars follow their predetermined line and
will not budge of it. Though, the "press release" states that there will be
"intelligent" AI... so maybe in the final game.
All in all, possibly an excellent "arcade" racer but definally not a sim
(F1'97 is 10 times more sim than this).
