GPL, LWFF and DX7A

by BRH » Mon, 31 Jan 2000 04:00:00

In hopes of getting my LWFF's to work properly (FF effects don't work
now), I'm thinking of installing Directx 7a and then trying the install
of the Wingman Profiler 3.3 again.

Assuming this would work (it may be a big assumption), does GPL 1.2 have
any problems with DX7a?  In precautions about this?  Is it a good idea
or a bad idea?

My system is a Celeron 300a (o/ced to450), with ATI All-in-Wonder video
card and 2 SLI-ed Voodoo 2's, Win 95 OSR2, 256 Megs RAM.

Thanks.

GPL, LWFF and DX7A

I am running DX7 with GPL1.2 - mostly problem free.  I have one slight
glitch that I am not sure started around the time of going to DX7
which is that when exiting GPL after the credits are scrolling 50% of
the time my machine shuts down windows (goes to bios start up) instead
of returning to desktop..
This is annoying but not terminal...

No problems moving to DX7a for me.
