Anyone have a decent one they could email me?

The more I go at it the more screwed up.

Well here's the settings I'm using for my LWFF, this provides enough force
to know what the car is doing without forcing me to fight the wheel.

Note these settings are to be used in conjuction with the LWFF settings
in Game Controller of:

Overall Effects Strength: 100%
Spring Effect Strength:   100%
Damper Effect Strength:   100%
Enable Centering Spring:  OFF        <---- very important for GPL feel

core.ini settings:

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                 ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 60.000000       ; force feedbackdamping coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.025000        ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 155.000000         ; steering torque in N*in giving

Hope that helps, again those settings are so that I don't have to fight the
wheel all race long, yet I can feel the force get progressively stronger
as the tire loads up, then the force will lighten up as the tire loses
traction.

Seeyas on the track.

Excellent LWFF settings Joao. These are the best I have used with GPL. You
feel bumps and suspension loading as well as the light touch required for
quick changes in steering. Highly recommended for those with the LWFF. No
more having to fight the wheel and feeling knackered after 5 laps.

Thanks a lot.

You need to download latest  drivers (3.25) they are auto installing from
the Logitech update site. Then auto-centering appears in the settings box
Hope this helps

It must just be me. I *like* a really strong response from the wheel.
More realistic, especially since we're talking about f1 cars. Heck, a
quick go-kart can make your arm feel like jelly after 30 minutes or
so.

Strong force is good, but if you spend like 4-5 hours working on a setup
for a league race, after a while all that force gets tiring :-)

I like the force more for its informational value physics wise than it's
simulation of how hard these cars were to drive.

But luckily Papy left it up to us to decide how to tweak the settings for
our individual preferences.
