I have a BFG 6800gt agp graphics card and just love it. My problem is
that I would like to upgrade to a socket 939 motherboard so that I can
run 64bit Windows and a faster CPU maybe a 3500+ but it seems like
most motherboards only support PCI graphic cards.

Any of you guys know of a motherboard which supports agp and 64 bit
AMD CPUs.

I'm currently running a DFI Nforce2 LANparty with a XP3000 CPU. It has
been a great motherboard but I think I am CPU limited.

Opinions ?

Thanks,
Dave

      hmmm, bad review :/

      Summary:
avoid this motherboard if you want to run windows x64. drivers for it
are not available and no ETA from manufacturer or nvidia on when they might
be available. all support seems to be going into their newer boards. runs
fine if you want to run 32bit windows (but why bother with this mobo then?)

Know if supports dual-core CPUs?  I'm looking on ASUS's site now and
can't see any word either way.
Would be great if I knew I could snag an X800 card for my current rig
and have an upgrade path to 64-bit later (don't think I'll ever go for
crossfire/SLI anytime soon).

Thanks,
Kendt

I too have the MSI K8N Neo 2 board, and it runs the XP Beta RC1 jsut fine,
and the Nvidia 64 bit drivers work good.

In response to my own question - Anandtech has an article about
dual-core compatibility - the Asus A8V is listed as one of AMD's
recommeded MB's, so that looks like a good one to choose.  Most others
have BIOS updates for the new CPU's as well.

I'm pretty sure the Asus A8V is still produced.  That's what I use.

says...

I'm running a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

I've run the 64-biut windows beta as well as 64-bit linux, and they both
perform quite well. I'm currently running 32-bit Linux though because
the 64-bit ati drivers aren't mature enough for my taste.

I heard DFI has released a nForce3 Ultra board recently (939/AGP). If
you're comfortable with DFI, go with their board.
