I recall some time ago a GPL site said they had a special deal on the
PDPI L4 control card. Does anyone remember what site this was ?

Thanks

Thanks Bart for passing the URL on.
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~drbryan/gpl - go to the PDPI link in the
top-left frame, or from the link on the main page for info on the L4,
including reviews and links.

Btw, the deal I made with PDPI with the Passwords from my site was as
follows:
        ONLY $80.95 for the L4 w. 2 channels
or   ONLY $90.95 for the L4 w. 3/4 channels

Shipping is only $4 for continental USA & Canada, or $15 International
        (Prices in US dollars)
----

I don't believe Chips & Bits can beat that - besides the 3/4 channel adapter
is only $10 more - even PDPI is advertising it on their own site for $109.95
!!

Btw, I received my L4 in 5 days here in Toronto, Canada (PDPI is in
California) - and it was stuck in customs for 2 days - so that's pretty fast
for only $4 !

(Look for my page to be listed on a PDPI ad in Computer *** World's
January issue - available early December!!)

Will you let us all know how this device works out. I have been looking for one
for a while now. Everyone I try out, I loose some functionality with it. I need
a device which will support a NAZ wheel, joystick, and a FUTABA nine channel RC
radio. The radio will use an interface to an RC flight simulator. I fly
competition precision aerobatics in the summer months and really could use a
device which will allow me to connect all of the above. To bad its ISA, A PCI
box would be sweet.

Thanks
Rick Sweeney

GPL PDPI L4 Control

I received my PDPI L4 yesterday and GPL works fine, but no major fps
increase.
So far in Nascar2, the only way I can get my TM Pro wheel to calibrate
and to keep the game port from going on and off while in the game, is to
get behind my PC tower and flip the switch. Which is a pain in the ass.
After switching the switch, it does feel a little smoother, but lap
speeds seem the same as before.
I have a AMD K6 200, Asus TX-97, 64 megs SDRAM, Thriller 4 megs.
I have an E-mail into PDPI. I'll post the outcome. It could be just a
minor fix.

Ok,
PDPI had a quick reply and they said that N2 is the only Dos game they
know of, that has a problem with the PDPI L4 card. We'll just have keep
switching the switch on the back of our PC's until N99 comes out next
month. Also if you race Nascar2 on Ten, there is no problem with the
PDPI card working with the NROS Enabler. I've tested it in several races
and it worked flawlessly.
The only down side to it, is switching the switch on the rear. But it's
only temporary until N99 gets here. On fps, the jury's still out on
that. Nascar2 does seem to be smoother though.
