Help - video card problems

by djs » Sat, 03 Mar 2001 17:54:30

Hello,  I tried using different drivers.  I tried the detonators,  I tried
the Creative labs driver.  But I can't get a good frame rate in GPL.  I have
talked to other people with similar systems and they get full 36 fps all the
time during the game.  I get 10 fps at the start and a average of 27 fps
during the game.  They are very low.  I tried all the patches to the game.
I un installed and re installed the game.  What could I be doing wrong ?
What would make the card so slow ?  I have a PIII 500,  256 mg ram,  32 mg
Creative Annihilator 2 ddr geforce 2 GTS card, win 98 se.  The system should
be more than enough to run the game at 36 fps.  Any ideas would be greatly

What are your graphics settings in GPL set at?  A PIII500 is not gonna
run a lot of eye candy, especially the detail slider.  If you are using
the 3d wheels, it also makes quite a hit.  Make sure you are using the
d3d graphics option.
