My MS FF wheel will not allow the paddles to be used for changing gear! have
tried deleteing the pre-programmed commands but GPL still will not let me
use them! The paddles worked ok in GP3!
any ideas?
thanks

Go into your gpl options and set shift up to KP+ (key pad plus)
and shift down to KP- then open the MS game controller, select
a profile for gpl. Go to the "RECORDER" tab at the top of the page.
The recorder allows you to assign wheel buttons and levers to whatever
keyboard stroke you desire... just be sure to push the corresponding
key to whatever you assigned it to in gpl. Its actually kinda handy
after you get the hang of it....
good luck!

Use a standard, un-modified profile.  Don't assign ANYTHING to the paddle
buttons.

Then, go into GPL, re-calibrate, and re-set the controls/buttons.

I've been doing it forever this way.  I run every sim I possible can under a
"generic" template that basically only has split axis enabled, and I try to
make all modifications in the game itself.

Doesn't work for all games, but it cuts down on the number of profile
changes I have to make, especially since Microsoft couldn't have _possibly_
made it any harder to do.
