I am unsuccessful in configuring my MS FF Wheel for GPL. I can not get the
game to recognise the pedals.

Under Options i have selected "Joystick Driver" and "Direct Input".

Does anyone have any advise how to fix this.

You must assign the controls on the left before you calibrate. Also make a
Sidewinder profile for GPL and select split axes; it's also handy for
assigning often used keystrokes to buttons.
