How much would you pay for approx. 100 hours work by a software engineer?
That probably would be the minimum time required to accurately replicate
a "real" track ... and that's assuming you have ALL the hard data related
to overall track length, length of each straight, radius of each corner,
camber data for each straight and corner, and topographic map of track,
with resolution of at least 3 meters (hopefully better) ... in other
words, pictures are not enough.
Given all the data named above, I could produce a drivable Sandown Intl.
Raceway in about a month ... if the desire strikes me.
This might explain why a GPL Track Builder must REALLY REALLY want to
build a track.
BTW- the above estimate is based on my just-completed track, Glen71,
which portrays Watkins Glen Long Course as it was in 1971 ... WITH the
Boot and WITHOUT the Inner Loop ... see
