IndyCar Racing Modem Fix Released

by Papyrus Design Gro » Thu, 07 Apr 1994 07:27:19

Dear IndyCar Racing Customers:

The fix for 2-Player mode of IndyCar Racing is now available.
It may be downloaded via anonymous FTP from Papyrus' FTP site,
ftp.std.com in the directory /ftp/vendors/papyrus as file
icr104.zip.  You will need PKUNZIP version 2.04g to unzip it.

There are some differences between 2-Player mode and single player
mode.  These are outlined in the accompanying text file, ICR104.TXT.
Please read that file for directions, hints, and troubleshooting
assistance.

You should experience stable connections over the modem.  Due to
the nature of modem play and the wide variety of modems available,
some of you may experience connection problems.  Please be sure that
you are using the proper initialization string for your modem.

There may be some remaining problems with this version.  If you
encounter any, please feel free to contact Customer Support with
any questions or comments.

Thank you for all your patience while we fixed this portion of
IndyCar Racing.  We appreciate your continued support.

Have fun racing against your friends!

Jane

Does this also fix null-modem connections?
Please say yes.

Ok, now to make it networkable up to 8 players. :)
