Speedgear was selling used Goodyear GP tires a couple years ago for
$125 a shot.  Throw in an extra $60 and you got a plexiglass cover for
it to use as a coffee table.  I wanted one really bad but my little
woman informed me that this was a house not a junkyard...  :(

You might want to add that it is for US residents only... ;) I didn't
know the game was even released over there?

Hahah but seriously what is worth $3,000$ here ? 3000pesos maybe :-)

Copy of the game, 50$
Racing tyre, what 2-300$ if it's fresh new for F1teams, not more than 100$
if old
Hat, 20$
Shirt, 25$
Windbreaker, 75$
book, 40$

As  I said, Im not surprised to see false advertising here, since it's
Ubisoft (haha I know that's a troll comment) :-)

I could probably cut it into quarters and have racing tires for my Metro.

Try buying a used F1 tyre from a team sometime. You might find it's
harder and more expensive than you think. Ditto for a NEW tyre.

There was a place last year at the Montreal F1 GP where you could buy used
Formula 1 tyres from the Friday practice the Saturday, and Saturday
qual/practice the Sunday (and other racing types also, FAtlantic, etc..).
It's not something that is impossible to buy.  Most of them are used as
tables (you know, put the tyre on it's side and put a steel plate over to
create a table), or a collection item.  They were sold around 100$,
depending on the team and driver. They were authentic and you had papers
from the teams confirming them.

As for new tyres, the book I read said that tyres can be bought for 2000$
THE set of 4, thus 500$ each.  That's far from the false adverti***t by
Ubisoft of  3,000$ in prizes.  Cmon

Unless you live somewhere where they DONT sell the used tyres! :)

Which book was that? I find that hard to believe unless Bridgestone
subsidies the cost substantially. Racing slicks for normal racecars
can cost that much, so surely a highly developed tyre such as a F1
tyre would cost a lot more.
But I agree it with the other stuff is not $3000.......but if they
said $500 hardly anyone would bother to enter the contest would they?
;)

The illustrated book to F1 (nothing big, easy to read but they have a list
of every equipment on a F1 car and how it costs).  No idea if it was US$, or
CAN$, still :)

Exactly my point, but it's still false advertising from Ubisoft. I emailed
them, no reply yet on that.
