After installing Windows95, I now have no sound in DOS in the Need for
Speed. Under DOS6.2 the sound worked fine.If I run the install program
it does not detect my soundcard. Anyone else have this problem and a
possible solution? I contacted EA and they gave me a stupid answer!
(Maybe the game does not support your soundcard!) Worked before.

A solution that I found was to use your soundcard's 16 bit drivers.

In other words reboot your PC into Dos mode, and run NFS from there.

What sound card do you use?
If you're using a GUS you should use the new win95 drivers.
(But I would play under plain DOS if I were you...)

Bill,

Make sure that Win95's idea of what interrupt and DMA addresses are the
same as you had previously set up in DOS.  I had a problem with this
same thing when I first got Win95 and this game.
