Does anyone know if you can use the Thrustmaster T1 with The Need for
Speed?  I have the demo version and it can't be configured.  I
wanted to know before I bought the real thing.

Also, where can you get one of those speed adjustable games ports for
cheap.  I just moved from a 486-DX475 to a P5-166 and now the joystick
won't stay centered.

Yes, with the use of the "little white adapter" thing (this allows
your pedals/wheel to be configured as a "single" joystick, it works in
many of the "arcade" racing games). The NFS demo is also only 320x200
- the real game will allow 640x480, extremely fast on my P133, it
should rock on your P166 (make sure you drive in***pit mode - the
cars drive a bit sluggishly in the arcade views, no matter what the
speed). And NFS is a fantastic game when combined with a wheel (I have
a T2), the feel of the driving is very realistic, and very different
for the different cars. It also has excelent tracks - five closed
circuit (two of them bonus tracks), and three long, winding open-road
courses (both with and without cops/traffic). And the graphics are
really beautiful - you will definetly have a few crashes caused by
sight-seeing!

Any good computer game store should have one.
