Has anybody determined the top speed for this..plane on wheels ?
It seems to be around 265 mph...I should make a straight track with
the editor and test it.  Ciao to everybody

I think it's about that - the first leg on the city course seems to
allow all the cars to reach their top speed just before the tunnel.
I must say that I don't think I would ever be up to driving a
car at that speed - my reactions are just too slow!
Driving it reminds me of a film made in the UK where they had
a camera in the front of a train going from London to Brighton (a
seaside town south of London) and then speeded up the film - same
feeling of being out of control!

Well i have a story about this...  My current goal in NFS is to find just that!
I wanna find the top speed for this low flying missle so i use a number of
utilities to straighten the track completely...flatten the track
completely.... then add a steep hill at the start of the City road course then
gradually slope down  to the finish line and the highest speed i could muster
up thus far is 302.5 MPH.  But I am not finished with this track.  I should
probably move onto a longer track and add in more downward slope and I will
probably hit 350 MPH  (my next goal)!

Back in the '70's, some photographer put a time lapse camera onto the
front of his car and drove across the US from east to west.  The film
takes 20+ minutes and it's incredible.  A narration over the film
announces crossing state lines.   Does anyone have the name of this
film?  It used to play all the time in the early '80's on HBO between
movies.
