GP3:Logitech FF calibration prob

by SWB » Mon, 31 Dec 2001 18:09:39

Its winter, and the holidays, so I reinstalled  GP3 on my new PC. I had
calibration problems with my Logitech Formula Force on Win '98 on my old
machine. So I got the GP3 Patch, and with the latest Logitech drivers for my
XP system, installed the game. Before putting on the Patch I had a quick go
to check the graphics and after some fiddling got a wheel profile that
worked, gears on the paddles, and throttle/brake on the pedals etc. I put
the Patch on, thinking this can only get better. But the new 'interface'
seemed even less logical than the old, and no controls would work in the
game. I could only calibrate and assign the wheel itself, and the game only
recognised the brake pedal (I have them set on separate axis in the Wingman
Profiler). Downloading a ready made profile failed to help. I uninstalled
the lot, and did a fresh install of the basic game. Now I can't assign or
calibrate the pedals with that either! Help anybody??
Steve
PS In disgust I then went straight back to N4, which works fine, so no
inherent problem with the wheel/pedals.
