quite a mark in the Rookie record books.

It's only the fastest growing Motorsport of all time. Nah. It's not taken
seriously...
Stuff happens. The tap wasn't that bad. It WAS on purpose, but the intent
was to loosen him up and make him go up the track. It's done damn near
every race by someone. Several times per race, in fact by different people.
Terry just lost it. Bad deal, but it happens.

He just got a little over-agressive this time. They ALL do it. Including
Gordon.
Dale has been sent to the wall more than once the same way. It happens.
-Larry
That's the difference between Earnhardt and some others. He can take what
he dishes.
-Larry
I want Nascar like it was in the 80's. Drivers driving drivers, not
restrictor plates.
-Larry
He didn't wreck him on purpose. He TAPPED him on purpose. It's a standard
Nascar move that's been done for 50 years. Ya tap em', and they wiggle up
the track a bit, and you dive under. Bump & Run. It's not new. It happens
several times in EVERY race.
Terry lost it. It happens. It's happened to Earnhardt (well, not much
) ). It will happen to Labonte again, and it will happen to Earnhardt
again. It will happen to every driver on that track.
It's racing. Bad luck sometimes happens.

"Drivers driving drivers"? Sounds more like a Village People type of
event... :-)
Cheers!
John
The reason Terry "lost it" was because he had been thumped from
behind. Rubbing may well be allowed, the odd "love tap" acceptable but
if Earnhardt screwed up and hit him too hard to steal a race win then
he should be man enough to admit it, indeed even refuse the win.
That's a LOW way to win a race, I'd hang my head in shame.
Cheers!
