Papy's CART sim good?

by Kipi » Sun, 18 Jun 2000 04:00:00

After spending countless hours with GPL I'm very impressed with the physics
model, and was wondering if anyone has messed with Papy's CART sim? I've tried
Monaco Grand Prix 2, but basically it's pretty lame IMHOP. Opinions
appreciated.Thanx in advance.

Papy's CART sim good?

Isn't Cart Racing the same thing as IndyCar Racing II?  I've got ICR2 and
love it.  Lots of fun.  The physics are not up to par with GPL (surprise?), but
there was enough there to keep me having a blast for quite some time.
You can't spin the wheels like you can in GPL, so ICR2 is much easier to
control.  The weight transfer effects are there, and tinkering with camber,
wings, and shocks (no spring settings) kept me busy for a long time trying to
get those hotlaps.
I've never played Monaco Grand Prix 2, so I can't compare it to ICR2.
I'm sure there's a Cart demo out there.  Might be worth a gander.

F1 2000 has the best modern F1 physics. Probably not very
far from GPL if at all.

Yeah, but which summer?

ICR2 is old, but good.

It is, minus the Indy track.
