CART Precision Racing? This thing has problems...

How many bugs can you find in one race?  Here's my little story:

So there I was.  Homestead, for my first race of the championship
season.  I accidentally skip Friday qualifying, and I blast to last
place on the grid with a 30.5 second lap in the Saturday qualifying.  On
to the race.  Bam!!  I'm on the pole position for the pace lap.  Oh
well, I suck, and I'll probably be back in the pack in no time.  20 laps
later, I'm still in first, and the entire field is within 5 seconds,
right on my bumper!  I wasn't exactly following the racing line, but
none of the cars behind me could pass me.  Finally, I fish-tail, and
Zanardi gets past, and is gone!!  After 5 laps, he's 14 seconds ahead of
me.  Suddenly, for no reason (no backmarkers or nothing), he starts
driving slow, and I catch him in 3 laps.  I pass him, he holds up the
rest of the field, and I find myself, after 40 laps, on the tail of the
pack.  I cut all boost and fuel (maybe I can make this race without a
stop), and follow them around.  I exit, and save the race, to do a
little math to see if I'll make it.
I come back to the race, and every car on the track is gone.  I'm
racing alone!!  I exit, and re-load the game, go back, and there, the
cars are back.  Only this time, Zanardi is driving like a madman, and
quickly starts gaining on me.  I pass a few backmarkers (who are all
going fast now), and crank all the juice back up.
Zanardi gets to within 3 seconds, and slows right down again.  The
rest of the race, Zanardi, and the cars in the top 5, would blast up
behind me, encounter a backmarker and be unable to pass him, get past
him after I extend the lead, repeat.
In conclusion, fun game, where's the patch?

I should have said "Where's the next patch", because all that happened
in the patched version....  :-(

Not...  Microsoft claimed they were going to patch the thing until it was
fit, but they have since done what most here (not I) predicted they would
do--go back on their word.

Marc.
