I'm not really an open-wheeled sim fan, but I know what I like when I see
it. CART had what I would deem abysmal framerates, but perhaps I'm just
expecting too much out of the PentiumII 266 that it was running on in the
Intel booth. The way the***pit slid across the bottom of the screen to
simulate the g-forces on the driver's head were corny at best, and it had
been suggested by many who saw it that this had better be optimal in the
final release. Aside from that, graphically it looked very similar to
ICR2, nothing groundbreaking. After seeing Microsoft 3D Baseball (unless
there is some major work done on it, this could be one of the worst
baseball games of the year) I don't plan to buy any MS entertainment
titles. The new Sidewinder Pro Forcefeedback stick is pretty cool though,
much better than CH Products' ForceFX.

actually I wulden't say "Don't buy any Microsoft games!!!" because thier
just a publisher, not a developer. It's a pretty good rule of thumb that
whomever is making sports games for MSFT really stinks. Terminal Reality
are a real hit and miss bunch. Fairly mediocre titles. But Atmic game has
really been doing some good work. V for Victory is a real classic, and
Close Combat is a really really, well COOL game. It's the best simulation
of real time war i've seen. Not to mention the flight sim series.
Are you talking about the way the view shifted towards the inside of
turns to simulate the way drivers look at when driving? I thought
this was very annoying but was easily turned off.
Agreed. The Sidewinder is much more precise and subtle.
