I have just purchased above wheel, but do not own a PC with a USB port.

The box said it would could be attached to a serial port. Unfortunately
my mouse sits on my nine pin port. I do have a 25 pin serial port
available.

Question is; do anyone out there know if I am able to purchase an
adapter thus enabling me to connect the wheel to my PC.

All help would be gratfully received.

Yes, you need a standard 9 pin subd male to 25 pin subd female adapter.

Any computer or electronics store should be able to supply you with one.

If you have W98 or W95B, you can buy an USB adapter card which
plugs into a free PCI slot. I haven't tried it because my PC has USB
but I would think it will work.

That would be what I would do in your situation.

I'd be careful if you have win95b.  LWFF doesnt work with win95b even if you
have usb support.  I have 95b and usb and the logitech wouldn't recognize the
usb connection, even though windows did.  Works great on a serial port
though.

Greg,

Many thanks for your advice. I purchased a USB adapter card today,
installed it and all is working very well.

Now all I need is plenty of practice on the wheel ;-))

Thanks again. I now know why I subscribe to this newsgroup.
