rec.autos.simulators

When trying to run Rendition.. ( i have latest drivers) I can view a
replay...or load any other screen...I can watch an entire replay as long
as it is not from the***pit view...when I switch to***pit view..after
about 20 or 30 seconds..the screen freezes...soound continues gears
changing..but I have lost all control of system. Have to do a hard
reboot....

Also if I try to race the same thing happens....but only in***pit
view..any help with this would be great. All other programs and games run
fine...Nascar2 in rendition works great...Please help :>)

Interestingly enough.. I get the same prob with my 3d Monster II 12
meg... Screen freezes in a perfect freezeframe.. and the game
continues underneath. (I have a Viper 330 as well...) Both have the
latest drivers and I am using Manafacturer's drivers and not Reference
ones..) One idea is to reinstall DirectX6 after installing the game as
this might cure it but as yet Ive not been able to confirm if this
works.

You dont have to reboot btw.. (Least not on my system..) but instead
press Cntl/alt/del and end the game task ... then do it again and end
task called gpl... no need for a hard reset

Spoke to Papy about this.. and they will be looking into it over the
weekend.. Hopefully a fix or patch to sort this out soon.
