 I saw the Monterey Historic show on Speedvision, and they said
the Porsche was producing 1100 hp, but the Shadow (UOP) that came
a few years later was even more powerful (and won a title as well
against the Porsches). Bruce and Denny didn't have a turbo to
compete with the Porsche, but the Shadow did. It was a God knows
how many cubic inch big block Chevy with a turbo...said to
produce 1300+ hp at 16 lbs. of boost, and they claimed if that
wasn't enough power, they could run boost as high as 27 lbs. (!)
