Problems with GP3 & Windows XP

I've got a problem with starting GP3 under Windows XP. When I install it and
try to run it, an error message "can't get 16bit colour screen" appears!
(Celeron 1200, Matrox G400, 192 MB RAM)
Has anybody heard of this? Is there any solution? I've seen GP3 working
normally under Windows XP, I don't know why it work on my system. (If it
means anything: it was an uprgade from Windows 2000, not a clean
installation).

This must be an error that doesn't happen often, since I haven't found any
information anywhere on the Internet.

In the last week two people have asked questions about getting newer sims
working and the one thing both had in common was the Matrox video card.   I
just don't think Matrox has any interest in keeping current drivers for
***.  They make a great professional product, but they have abandoned the
gamer.  Good luck

Maybe try running it 'as Win98'   Or 'Run as Win2000'?

It's an option with XP where you can right click on the run file (exe) and
select how you want it to run.

SInce XP doesn't have most of Win2000, how can it run as it?

Compatibility Mode.  See Help and Support, and do a Search for Compatibility
Mode.  The information and guidance is in there.
