Quick Question:
What is generally accepted as being best f1 game out there at the moment?
My last dip into the wallet was 2 years ago for GP2, and I didnt even bother
with GP3, but now its time to play again.
Any ideas?

To save time I'll provide a synopsis of answers
1. GPL
2. He said F1 he MUST have meant modern F1
3. He didn't SAY old or new just F1 therefore GPL
4. Oh yeah but F1 2k2 is better all around
5 Nascar 2002 is the best F1 sim around
6 I've driven only Geoff Crammond sims since the 80's and I can honestly
say I've never driven anything better.
7. The mods for F1 2002 are better than either GP4 or F1 2002.
8. Ubi Soft is making a fake F1, wait for it.
9. If Indycar 2 worked with 3d cards IT would be the best F1 title ever.
10 GPL
11 He didn't SAY old f1 he must have meant Modern F1. ANyhow GPL doesn't
have a tire model.
12. F1 2002 is a great F1 sim, but Nascar Thunder using the same engine is
Not great..go figure
13. GP4 will seem EXACTLY like GP2. So if you liked GP2 then you won't
mind spending 40$$ for the exact same thing in GP4.
14 I saw GPL on sale at Staples.
15 In Austrailia we race backwards, because that is the direction the
toliet bowls flush...
16. Stuntcar Racer is the best F1 title.
17 Why is eveyone dissing Nascar?
18 He didn't say he wanted a modern stunt car racer therefore he MUST have
been referring to the classic Amiga version of SCR.
19. Ahhhh the Amiga..I remember....
20. Do you play online? Do you have a very powerful, up to date system?
(repeat as necessary.)

Some like GP4, but it seems to be a minority in this group.

Anyway what is "modern" and what is not? GPL is modern compared to SOS1937,
while GP4 is not compared to F1-2002.
Prost Racing!
Prost Racing! (x2)
Hahaha best laugh of the day.
No no no there's 1 word too much here. It should read "and I can honestly
say I've never driven anything". LOL
I'm awaiting an F1 mod for F1 2002.
MGPRS2 is the best non-F1 F1 title ever! <runs away>
Of course! With traction control, Icr2 is again a realistic sim ;)
General Public License? You mean WSC?? <ducks>
Yeah but GPL has rocket launches 200feet into the game engine's roof. F1
2002 doesn't, therefore it sucks! (so does GP4, but it's more then just
because it doesn't have rocket launches)
Ack ack didn't you know that according to newbies in this NG we are not
allowed to say anything bad about NT2003?
LOL!
I saw Anthony Gaza last night so he's not dead <weird Usenet reference>
Yes but how does the water *stay* in the toilet if you people are upside
down? Shouldn't it fall off the earth?
Prost Racing! (x3)
Yall liss'n here. yall ain't gut splittin' dissin my pals back trailer in
the bayou. weunz just year racin ya know, it's our way of life wif our pals
an' 6-pack an' trailer park houses Ya reckon?
Did you know Crammond's Stunts actually kinda has some code found in F1GP.
I remember reading that he based F1GP on Stunts. Therefore GP4 has even
*older* code in it! (I'm kinda serious here)
What if Amiga had become the Microsoft of our times?
It won't ever be like the NROS!!!

I'm no expert, but EA's F1 2002 is the most impressive one that I have tried.
