I made a ***oo when I installed N4, and selected to install the CD's
DX8. I've since read posts here about NOT doing that. Is there a way I
can go back to DX7, and then upgrade with the Microsoft site's DX 8 as
posts here have suggested?

Again, all help is very much appreciated...

I've used 8 off the CD with no ploblem,  now I have DX 8a no problems.  Here

I have a novel suggestion...

Since it's already installed, why not wait and see if you are having
problems, and _then_ worry about it.

If no problems, then carry on...
