FIA GT MOD - Alternative views are great

I've had the FIA GT Mod (2.1) for a while now, and it is very good.  But I
have found a way to make it even better, IMO.

With version 2 of the mod, new alternative camera's were added.  I never
really thought about driving from any of them, because you lose the HUD and
information.

But, I tried it the other day, from all the different views, and found that
one of them makes the sim incredibly realistic.  There are really two views,
one is the 'third' view (press 'Home' three times) and it gives you an on
the bonnet view which is pretty good.

The other, which I prefer is very similar, but it is centred just a little,
and it gives you the best impression of driving a sports car that any other
sim has ever done.  It is near the end of the cycle of cameras (but I can't
remember which one)

Either way, if you haven't check it out because it improves the driving
experience imessurably, and makes 'racing' these cars even easier and
realistic.

I agree. I always prefer a bonnet cam to a***pit because the sense of
speed is so much better. However, I don't like bonnet cams that are too
high. I prefer a bonnet cam at the same height as the***pit view. I also
prefer a much wider Field of View (FOV) to help compensate for the lack of
peripheral vision on the screen - that makes a huge difference to the
perceprion of speed IMHO.

I've edited the the cams quite a bit to try different perspectives and I'm
close to getting it to what I want. All I wish for now is a rearview mirror
and all the pages of the LED screen for the external views (the HUD is still
there) - why can't we do that?

I would love to try but I can't get either F1 or the mod to run at
acceptable frame rates on Athlon 1.2g and gf2 gts
