Yes, a fascinating read. I was actually getting anxious as the account
progressed, knowing what was to come. I remember reading excerpts in Sports
Illustrated that I believe came from Jackie Stewart's autobiography in which
he spoke of the growing number of close racing friends who died on the track
and his increasing unease that his number was to be up next. Stewart was wise
enough to retire while still successful and before his skills and nerve had
eroded. Imagine the potentials lost with Clark, Hill, Rindt, Bandini, McLaren,
Rodriguez, etc....

Helmut Marko? Why dubios?

A must read is Jackie Stewart's "Faster". It's his 1970 Saison diary.
There`s lots of Jochen Rindt stuff - Jochen and Jackie were very close
friends...

IT's a book, and a very rare find these days, although some public library's
still carry it.

A very nice book--one of the first auto-racing ones, I believe, that moved
out of the "drivers as . . . la la la . . .heroes" boy scouts mode and
actually tried to describe some of the reality.  It's the March team's debut
year, or near enough.
