my ATI rage pro turbo back in. (17 FPS)
The track designs are very good, definitely more of a chance to "haul some
ass" than on NFS III. Bemidji is a standard oval, with a CHICANE!
Brilliant! Dayton is a tri-oval, but it's 3 MILES LONG! MGI did a great
job giving us these two tracks which might appeal to NASCAR'ers, but they
aren't the run -of-the -mill 12-30 sec/ lap yawn-inducing tracks like the
ones in real life. The rest of the tracks are cool, some has some very
steep elevation changes, or no guard rails on a cliffside, so you had better
be careful.
There are five more vehicles available from the hacks folder. There are a
coupe, sports sedan, airplane?, an ***, which is Ferrari-like, and one
other I can't remember. I didn't drive nay of these.
The career mode should be cool. All I did was race the first series of
three races, and finished last in all three, so all I won was $75.
Everything else seems to be the same as far as handling, sound, graphics,
etc. The default setup seemed to be different, though.
The manual is very good although there are some grammatical errors, and some
of the screenshots are from the first demo. It's 119 pages and it has
detailed strategy for each track, including the best racing line and even
setup help. Bravo!
Great sim/game. Don't really have any major complaints yet.
